Coupons--LVA and ACG?
Hello. I am considering purchasing the Las Vegas Advisor and American Casino Guide coupon books and have two questions. (1) How physically large are the books? From what I am reading, you have to have the coupon still attached to the book to use it (for LVA) so I am hoping it fits in a pocket. Not sure if that is also true for ACG. (2) ACG's site says some coupons can be used only once per year. For example: "$25 table game matchplay (one per calendar year) at The D Las Vegas" Since LVA has an identical coupon, does that mean I could only use the LVA matchplay OR the ACG coupon? Or am I still able to use both? Thanks.

Going to Vegas? Low roller? Bring a coupon book! (Also WIN Cards)
I just wanted to share the joys of matchplays and free slot play. Matchplay: You wager $5, the coupon matches $5. If you lose, the casino takes your $5 chip and the coupon. If you win, the casino gives you $10 (and your original $5 chip back, but they still take the coupon). So it's basically a free chip. Free-Play: You are just given free money to use on slot machines (or video poker). You have to play through it once though. If you are given $10 free-play, you will see $10 in the machine (even though you put no money in!) but you cannot withdrawal that $10. You can only play with it. You could make a $10 slot bet with it. You could make two $5 bets. You could make 1,000 1 cent bets. Whatever you have at the end of that you can now withdrawal. The two coupon books for Vegas I know of are Las Vegas Advisor and American Casino Guide. Las Vegas Advisor (LVA) is around $34 while American Casino Guide (ACG) is around $13. These prices fluctuate depending on time of year. Just use the matchplays on baccarat if you're allowed and craps otherwise. Free play I would highly recommend learning high odds video poker. www.vpfree2.com is your friend. You could still make it work with slot machines if you just want to have fun. If you like hopping around every casino (especially downtown) I would highly recommend getting one of these books. As a side note I've heard of win cards but never used them myself. It seems a lot like a matchplay, where they just give you a free chip essentially
